Capscan’s Most Powerful International Data Quality Tool to Date Makes UK Debut at TFM&A 2011

Technology for Marketing and Advertising (TFM&A), 1st & 2nd March; Earls Court 2, London

Capscan, a leading supplier of UK and international address management solutions and data quality services, today announces that the new version of Matchcode International will be available for demonstration for the first time in the UK at TFM&A 2011. Delegates are invited to stand A12 to view the fastest and most powerful technology for international data quality from Capscan to date, which increases the effectiveness of international sales and marketing campaigns by ensuring that data held within a customer database is accurate and correctly formatted to the relevant countries/language.

Driven by the Loqate Geo-data Quality Engine, Matchcode International covers international address data for 240 territories and features improved matching speeds to cleanse, validate and enhance customer data either during capture or in bulk.

Using the software, global businesses can also further enhance the value of their international data using external datasets such as worldwide geocoding (appending addresses with latitude longitude co-ordinates, including over 80 countries to rooftop level), lifestyle and various business to business information. The resulting benefits include a better reputation in the global marketplace, an improved single customer view, reduced cost of direct marketing and correspondence and less risk of exposure to identity fraud.

“International data quality management (IDQM) and the technology and processes surrounding it has gained significant traction amongst organisations operating internationally,” comments Managing Director of Capscan, Terry Hiles. “This is fuelled not only by the growth in e-commerce and the need to accurately capture customer contact data, but also by the growth of Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) applications and the corporate rollout of products such as Salesforce.com by multinational companies. With budgets still tight, organisations are recognising that costs of international operations and exporting can be managed through keeping on top of data quality, not forgetting correct country formats, language etc, which can be a particular challenge with non-Latin languages, such as Chinese.”

Visitors to Capscan’s stand (A12) will also see how the new version of Matchcode International enhances customer contact data with external datasets such as geocoding, lifestyle and various business-to-business information, which can add considerable value to the data already held by the business. All this helps increase the effectiveness of targeting in an international direct marketing campaign, especially if there is little knowledge within the business of particular overseas markets. It is also superior in its support for country specific characters such as accents and umlauts, as well as multiple languages e.g. traditional (正體字) and simplified (简体字) Chinese, Japanese Katakana (カタカナ, 片仮名) and Kanji (漢字), Korean Hangul (한글) etc.

In addition to Matchcode International, Capscan will be demonstrating its full portfolio of international address management software and data quality services, including the new version of its online data cleansing, suppression and enhancement service, Capscan Integrity. Redesigned and enhanced, the service is now even more flexible and simpler to use, offering a greater number of suppression and cleansing services than before. Visitors will also receive a copy of Capscan’s new survey white paper, ‘Data Quality: Reality and Rhetoric’ and a free, no obligation, data health check for up to 2,000 contact data records, designed to help achieve a better understanding of the rate of data decay and the hygiene levels that exist in their own databases.

Capscan is sponsoring the Direct Margarita International party on 28th February and the Global Marketing Alliance (GMA) Hub lounge at TFM&A 2011. Capscan is also giving visitors to stand A12 the chance to win an Apple iPad in a prize draw.

A spokesperson from Capscan will be available to discuss IDQM issues and the new Matchcode International throughout TFM&A.
