This year, Pythagoras celebrates ten years of offering expertise in evaluating and implementing CRM, Business Intelligence and ERP solutions. One of the key factors behind its success over the past ten years is Pythagoras’s determination to grow the business by continually seeking out new innovative companies to partner with, the aim being to increase the range of products and services made available to Pythagoras customers. In response to growing customer demand for a ‘whole product solution’, Pythagoras decided to partner with Capscan in 2002, and immediately began to offer Capscan’s Zapcode solution with Sage SalesLogix. This provided users of Sage SalesLogix with real-time rapid addressing and data capture software that returns an address from a postcode

Carl Grieves, Sales Director at Pythagoras, is unhesitant in highlighting the benefits that this partnership brought to his organisation, “Essentially, Capscan has provided an aspect of technology that cannot be supplied directly by Microsoft or Sage. The technology works, and is competitive in terms of both its functional value and competitive pricing.”

Capscan’s recent launch of Matchcode for Microsoft Dynamics™ CRM has provided further opportunity for mutual business benefits. Matchcode for Microsoft Dynamics™ CRM enables sales and marketing teams to improve forward planning of campaigns, customer analysis and achieve a comprehensive view of the customer base, through the accurate capture and validation of UK contact data within the market leading CRM platform. Carl Grieves points to this development as being a key to the success of the partnership, “Recent developments of Capscan’s product range to work within Microsoft Dynamics™ CRM have seen a very rapid and professional development lifecycle in line with Pythagoras’ solution requirements.”

Carl Grieves continues by explaining how easy it is to justify the cost of including the Matchcode for Microsoft Dynamics™ CRM plug-in in any new business proposals. “The simple nature of the plug-in means that the costs associated with this aspect of a CRM project is often minimal. When combined with the obvious business benefits that effective address management brings, the inclusion of the Matchcode for Microsoft Dynamics™ CRM requires very little justification.”

The Matchcode for Microsoft Dynamics™ CRM plug-in takes the form of an IFRAME that can be added to any forms containing address details. The IFRAME adds two buttons to the form: ‘Address Lookup’ and ‘Clear Address’. Carl Grieves explains, “Capscan have provided Pythagoras with integrated solutions for our CRM portfolio. We have experienced no issues with the integration and were very pleased with the results.”

Partnering with Capscan has enabled Pythagoras to provide enhanced products and services that are currently used by organisations such as:

  • Yorkshire Forward (Sage SalesLogix)
  • East Midlands Development Agency (Sage SalesLogix)
  • City of London University (Microsoft Dynamics™ CRM)

 

In terms of how the partnership between Pythagoras and Capscan will develop, Carl Grieves is extremely confident, “Given the recent development of Capscan’s products for Microsoft Dynamics™ CRM, Pythagoras expect the technical, and importantly, financial returns for both organisations to increase significantly from previous years. The commercial benefit for both organisations is currently being developed through Capscan’s product offering’s being presented at Pythagoras’ seminar program. The first of these was presented at the end of January 2009 and one new customer has purchased Matchcode since we provided this sales presentation.”
