Matchcode with Pointer® provides private and public sector organisations with a complete address management system for Northern Ireland. It enables the end-user to cleanse their data in either Batch mode for multiple addresses or in Data Capture mode for real-time interactive lookups in customer care centres and council offices to verify addresses. Matchcode with Pointer® screens address data against data in The Pointer® database, which was created from datasets maintained by Ordnance Survey of Northern Ireland® (OSNI), Royal Mail and the Valuation & Lands Agency.

Matchcode with Pointer® includes information on building numbers and names, postcodes, secondary thoroughfare and locality information where available, post town, building status, organisation and department name, sub-occupancy details, geo-codes, unique property reference numbers (UPRN), business names, delivery point status, derived business use information and detailed business classification information.

As well as delivering full accurate addresses from a postcode or partial address, Matchcode with Pointer® enables enhancement of address data with additional data sets including names, other business data sets and lifestyle information. It also allows for the appending of grid references and other OSNI datasets such as Ward codes and building types.
