Videss Selects Capscan to Assist in Providing High Quality Address Solutions for the Legal Sector

Matchcode and Matchcode Names Solutions Successfully Integrated into Videss Legal Office

Capscan, a leading supplier of International address management solutions and data integrity services, today announced its flagship product Matchcode and names addressing solution Matchcode Names have been integrated into Legal Office, the practice management solution from Videss, a supplier of IT systems and software to the legal profession. Capscan will be exhibiting at the Legal IT show at New Century Hall, Manchester, on 18-19 May 2005 at stand 2. It will be demonstrating the importance of correct, accurate and up-to-date addressing in the data-sensitive legal industry.

Capscan Matchcode and Matchcode Names have been incorporated into Videss Legal Office following demand from Videss clients for a postcode lookup facility and a way of keeping confidential and time sensitive address data clean. Sales Director of Videss Chris Rose says, "For our customers, data quality is of paramount importance. Feedback we received indicated that many hours were being wasted manually typing to improve the poor quality data held in databases. Matchcode and Matchcode Names enable us to provide high quality data imputing functionality that our clients can use to adhere to strict quality control procedures."

Ison Harrison Solicitors has already implemented Videss Legal Office with Matchcode and Matchcode Names. Like many solicitors, Ison Harrison had numerous issues with incorrect and incomplete address data. This represented a serious problem for their Debts department, made worse by the large number of referrals from Building Societies and Mortgage companies. Matchcode is a fully functional address management system, with a highly sophisticated search engine, making it fast, reliable and accurate. It is available as a stand-alone program for online data capture, address verification and batch cleansing of addresses or as an API for easy integration into other applications. Using the National Canvasse Lifestyle database supplied under licence from Experian, Matchcode Names links the National Canvasse name to the relevant household PAF address and allows the householders names to be used as part of an interactive or batch search for the address. This not only increases match rates, but also allows misspellings in the both the name and the address to be corrected.
