Capscan Showcases Cost Effective And Flexible International Addressing At IDMF 2008
IDMF 2008, Stand W250, 29th April – 1st May, Earls Court 2
Capscan, a leading supplier of international address management solutions and data integrity services, today announced that it is now offering greater and more flexible access to quality international address and geocode data for validation and enhancement. On stand W250 at IDMF 2008, Capscan will be demonstrating how organisations of any size, with any frequency of use and volume requirement, can achieve cost-effective international addressing through the strategic integration of its enterprise solution and a hosted service.
Capscan’s new service offering is ideally suited to organisations that have varying international addressing needs for different regions. It provides enhanced international address data for 190 countries worldwide and geocoding information (the allocation of latitude-longitude co-ordinates address) for the whole of Western Europe.
By installing frequently used country or territory datasets locally, the user is able to validate and cleanse contact databases using enterprise desktop software. Users requiring access to additional country or territory datasets for address data validation, can access each ‘look-up’ of an address file on a ‘pay-per-search’ basis from the user interface, which links directly to a hosted service. As a result, organisations can identify and select a customised licensing structure depending on requirements.
“A typical user example would be a marketer that manages ongoing direct response campaigns predominantly in the UK, but only occasionally runs a similar international campaign in other countries like Russia and Japan,” explains Sales Manager, Global Solutions & Alliances at Capscan, Jon Paterson. “It makes sense to buy in desktop enterprise address management software to validate high volume incoming customer addresses for a one-off cost, but purchasing both the Russian and Japanese country data sets would be cost prohibitive. By enabling that user to validate those addresses as and when required through the hosted service, he only pays for what he uses, rather than for multiple datasets providing a cost-effective solution. With the new service, customers can now access cost-effective and accurate addressing data for 190 countries worldwide with a click of a button.”
A single fee allows users to access the hosted service with a limited number of international address look-ups. Organisations only pay for what is used, providing affordable and cost-effective international addressing for organisations of all sizes and low-to-medium volume users and effectively removing the traditional barriers to entry, providing access to affordable and cost-effective address management.
Using the new service, marketers can ensure that only complete and accurate address data is added to the customer database. UK addresses are screened against Royal Mail’s Postcode Address File (PAF) and international addresses against various enhanced international postal databases. As well as address validation the new service also provides high volume batch cleansing.
At IDMF 2008, Capscan’s new version of Matchcode International for Ireland will also be available for demonstration on stand W250, alongside Capscan’s online cleansing and enhancement tool, Capscan Integrity.
Throughout the show, Capscan will be running a prize draw with the opportunity to win an iPod Touch.
