Cybertill

Established in 2001, Cybertill Ltd, are providers of ASP based EPoS, E-Commerce and Mail Order systems to the retail industry. Based in Knowsley, Cybertill currently employ over 30 staff, and with rapid growth expected, plan to expand into Europe and the USA. Cybertill’s ASP technology allows retailers to instantly respond to market changes and accurately manage stock levels. Retailers benefit from the ability to manage, analyse and report on Sales and stock levels in real-time.

An innovative company, Cybertill are always looking at ways to add value to their products and enhance the service they provide to customers. In 2004, they identified a way to do this by including address and postcode validation functionality into their Customer Relationship Management (CRM) module. By adding postcode validation functionality to their CRM retail software, they felt that it not only met customer needs for accurate data, but also enhanced their product, helping to create new sales opportunities.

Cybertill undertook extensive market research and product benchmarking of the leading address management products before selecting the product and supplier for their system. After careful consideration and analysis, they chose Capscan’s Zapcode software for their CRM module. Arzu Kanval, Cybertill’s Market Development Manager, explains why: “Capscan were the quickest and offered the best service/products that met our needs. We felt that they definitely offered the best value-for-money for our customers. The success of this benchmarking exercise was a major reason why we chose to partner with Capscan. They were also able to demonstrate a good understanding of the Cybertill business model, including how the solutions are delivered.”

Zapcode is Capscan’s popular real-time rapid address data capture and verification software that returns an address from a postcode. By verifying address details, it ensures that contact and address details captured at the point of sale are as accurate as possible. This means that mail is correctly delivered, the costs associated with undeliverables and returned mail are minimised, and customer perception is improved through correctly spelt contact details. It is available in both modular and API form for rapid and easy integration.

Arzu Kanval explains the benefits that address management functionality brings to Cybertill’s CRM module, and why it is necessary in a highly competitive retail environment, where the ability to conduct multi-channel trading across the shop, web and telephone is a prerequisite: “With multiple data entry points, it is crucial that customer address data is captured quickly and accurately in order to guarantee high levels of customer service, and the accuracy of the real-time reporting functionality offered by our solutions.”

Cybertill found the integration of Zapcode into their EPoS/E-Commerce systems a very simple task thanks to Capscan’s Software Developers Kit (SDK). According to Arzu Kanval, “Integration only took a few days. The process was quick and simple and the Software Developers Kit easy and straightforward to use.”

Since the partnership began, Cybertill now have many stores using Capscan solutions, ranging in size from single store retailers to larger retailers with 100 plus stores. Examples include:

Arzu Kanval predicts a long and successful relationship between Cybertill and Capscan, she adds, “We believe that Capscan has an extensive portfolio of products and services that closely match the requirements of our business and that of our customers.
