In 2006, in response to strong customer demand from the Retail sector, Platinum Systems decided to integrate Capscan’s leading postcoding and rapid addressing solution, Zapcode, into Microsoft’s Dynamics Retail Management System (RMS). RMS provides users with an integrated EPOS, Stock Management and Marketing solution to manage operations within stores and across the business, leading to greater inventory efficiency and reliability, improved customer service and more efficient marketing. Platinum offer customers a fully customisable version of RMS, designed to suit their individual and specific needs.

The integration of Zapcode has enabled Platinum Systems to provide their retail customers with an invaluable tool for the rapid capture and maintenance of customer contact and address data. Zapcode saves RMS users a lot of time at the point-of-sale, enabling retailers to provide a more effective and responsive customer service. Users simply enter a postcode and it will return an address that is common to a postcode. With large user postcodes it will return a complete address including the organisation name. Through Zapcode, the value of RMS is enhanced, and this extra value and functionality can be passed directly to Platinum customers.
